Useful Information For Your Stay at Getaway Villa

In preparation of your arrival

Some suggestions (not requirements) to make your stay more pleasant:

  • Bring extra towels in the event you go to the Kinneret or other beach/water facility. (We provide each guest with 2 large towels & 2 hand towels – extra towels are provided for stays of 4 nights or more).
  • Suggested paper goods to bring: Paper towels, Aluminum pans, Aluminum foil, sandwich bags, napkins, cups, containers and ziplock bags for food storage. Although there are dishes, silverware, glasses, and mugs (see amenities list), you may want to bring disposables.
  • We provide garbage bags, toilet paper, and tissues.
  • Don't forget to bring charcoals if you plan to BBQ.
  • Don’t forget bathing suits, sunscreen, hats, and floaties/goggles for the kids (for the pool).

We kindly request your cooperation with the following:

  • PLEASE no eating or drinking on the couches, in the bedrooms, or in the pool.
  • Garbage should be placed in the green receptacle located on the sidewalk in front of the house.
  • If you suspect that something inadvertently became unkosher - no problem. Please place it in the wicker basket on top of the kitchen shelves. We’ll take care of it.

Check-out procedure:

  • Check the drawers, nightstands and closets for your personal items.
  • Please empty the sinks and the kitchen garbage.
  • Leave the used towels in the bathrooms, bathtub or the clothes drying rack outside.
  • Remote controls for the T.V. and a/c's, toys, books, etc should be returned to their place.

If our housekeepers are not there when you leave:

  • Heaters/air conditioners, hot water heaters, should be switched off.
  • The outdoor lights in the front of the house can stay on.
  • Please lock the pool gate, front door and entrance gate.
  • Return the key to the lock box.
  • Message me when you leave.
  • We kindly ask that you check out by 11:00. (Unless we are able to offer a later check-out time) This will ensure that the housekeepers will have sufficient time to clean and prepare the villa for the next guests.

Most important - Safety first!

  • It is imperative that children be supervised at all times by an adult.
  • Safety for the children in and around the pool. Please abide by the rules posted by the pool and supervise children at all times.
  • Please keep the gate to the pool closed and locked at all times when adult supervision is not present.
  • Please make sure to keep children safe around the BBQ grill.
  • Please make sure that the charcoals are completely extinguished when you are finished using the BBQ.
  • Shabbat hot water urn should be safely set up, out of the reach of small children.
  • There is a fire extinguisher hanging on the kitchen wall
  • Emergency numbers:

  • PLEASE – Park only on the side of the street that the villa is on. Vehicles should be parked halfway on the sidewalk in order to keep the street clear for other vehicles.
  • The main electric panel is outside the front entry door.
  • The Shabbat clock for the lights is in the electric panel. The Shabbat clock controls the lights in the bedrooms and living room/dining room/kitchen. The bathrooms are not on the Shabbat clock.
  • The switches for the pergola/patio and the BBQ area lights are on the grey wooden posts of the pergola.
  • The house gets its hot water from solar panels on the roof. If you run out of hot water, you can turn on the switch to heat the water electrically. The switch is located outside the bathroom with the bathtub. It takes approx 2 hours to heat the water.
  • Each of the bathrooms has a heater and vent fan. The switches are located on the wall outside each bathroom. Please shut them off after use.
  • There are remote controls for the heating and air conditioning in each room.
  • There are remote controls for each of the T.V.s and Partner satellite boxes
  • Games and toys can be found in the living room under the TV, and in the toy chest on the front patio. 
  • Siddurim, Chumashim, Benchers, and various books can be found on the bookshelves in the living room. 
  • Shabbat candles, challah board, tableclothes and Havdala set are in the cabinet under the T.V.
  • The kitchen is Kosher
  • Sinks and counters to the right of the oven are dairy. Sinks and counters to the left of the oven are meat.
  • Green is the dairy color, Red is the meat color. The dishes are marked meat and dairy.
  • There is a plata for Shabbat located on top or side of the refrigerator.
  • For use on Shabbat, please place the plata on the burners or if you place it on the counter, use the granite trivets that can be found in the drawer under the oven.
  • The Shabbat hot water urn can be found under the sink. Set it on the counter between the dairy sink and the burners, pushed back against the wall out of the reach of small children.
  • Make sure cords for both kettle and plata are not in reach of children and not touching the plata.
  • Feel free to open the kitchen cabinets, and familiarize yourself with the kitchen.
  • There is coffee, tea, sugar, salt, and pepper on the shelves above the counter top.
  • There is a basket on the top of the kitchen shelves. If you accidentally make something unkosher you can put the items in that basket. 
  • You will also find a toaster on the shelves above the diary sink.
  • There is a step stool in the rear of the living room area
  • Linens/towels are on the beds and you will find extra towels/pillows in the closets.

Amenities at Getaway Villa

Dairy and Meat info for the kitchen (the kitchen is Kosher):

  • There are 2 separate stainless-steel sinks (meat & dairy)
  • Green is the Dairy color
  • Red is the meat color
  • Everything is clearly marked
  • The BBQ grill is meat

Appliances & Shabbat:

  • Full-size refrigerator or freezer, built-in oven, 4 burner cooktop, microwave, toaster, electric hot water kettle
  • Shabbat tea light candles, Shabbat Plata with Shabbat clock, Shabbat water urn, Challah board & Havdalah set, Siddurim, Chumashim

In the kitchen cabinets, shelves, and drawers, you will find:

  • Meat and  Dairy: Small plates, bowls, large plates, children's hard plastic plates and cups, pots and pans, silverware, sharp knives, glasses, dairy mugs

Kitchen utensils and gadgets:

  • Peeler, corkscrew, cutting boards, serving utensils, strainer, serving bowls, measuring cups, BBQ utensils, can opener, garlic press, lemon squeezer, hot gloves, trivets.

Also in the kitchen:

  • Instant coffee, Turkish coffee, regular tea bags, fruit tea bags, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • dish soap, dish towels, garbage bags. 
  • The last drawer on the left side in the kitchen has items that you may find useful. Including Shabbat clocks, band aids, clips, scissors, etc.

Toiletries in bathrooms:

  • Shampoo, body wash, hand soap, tissues, toilet paper, air freshener

Bedrooms:

  • Linens, pillows, blankets, closets with hangers
  • We provide 2 bath towels & 2 hand towels per guest
  • We provide extra towels for guests staying 4 nights or more

Games:

  • Rummikub, chess, checkers, backgammon, playing cards, children’s card games, kids books, adult Jewish-themed books and novels.

Pool:

  • Tubes and floating devices for children and adults
  • We do not provide children’s water safety ​tubes or floaties

Important information about the swimming pool:

The water in the pool is maintained and checked on a bi-weekly basis. Modest chlorine levels are used for the water's and our guests' health. When using the pool, we advise using swimming apparel meant for swimming pools. Please note that clothing not meant for swimming may not be colorfast and may experience discoloration due to the chlorine. Also, Sometime during your stay, our pool maintenance man may come in the afternoon to check the water. It usually takes a few minutes and you can stay in the pool during that time.

The first on the list, is the main Shul in Yavneel, Masaot Binyamin, and was built by the Rothschilds before the founding of the state. It has an eclectic mix of all types of Jews. Most of our guests daven there and enjoy the Tefillah.

After the big electric pole turn left onto the dirt road. The olive trees are on the left and on the right is a big open field. Go straight up 2 blocks until the traffic circle.

*Chabad* Make a right when you leave the house, and walk past the open fields after about 5 houses on the right there is a white building set back from the street, with a large yellow Moshiach banner.

    For Shabbat - Easy walks in the area

    • There is a playground for children nearby. Make a left when you leave the villa, then make the first right. The playground is up the street on the left. 
    • As you walk around Yavneel you will see blue signs with the historical explanation of the location or of the people and the pioneers that lived there. 
    • Make a right when you leave the villa, walk on the unpaved road past the open fields, pass the Chabad neighborhood and keep walking as long as you like. You can turn off the road and walk between the fields wherever there is a path.

    • Make a right when you leave the villa and then take the shortcut to the main Shul (which we will send you by WhatsApp). Keep walking past the shul towards the mountain. There are dirt paths you can walk up to enjoy the view of Yavne'el valley.

    • For serious walkers: In the hot seasons it is better for the afternoon when the breeze comes through Yavne'el. To get to this trail, make a left when you leave the house, right at the corner, at the traffic circle make a left, you will pass the Breslov shul, keep walking straight onto the unpaved road.
